Emily started her training towards becoming a veterinary surgeon before finding her calling in human medicine, for which she is studying a graduate joint degree in medicine and surgery. Her love for animals has remained, however, and is best demonstrated by her bond with her horse, Cartown Wallabe (Wally).

Since stepping down from eventing at 4*, Wally has exampled his talent in new disciplines with Emily. In the first few months together, they had already made their British Dressage debut, at Advanced Medium. Currently training towards Advanced at home, their aim is to complete their first Prix St Georges test. 

Wally and Emily also made their showing debut at London International Horse Show (LIHS) 2023 being placed in the top 10. They aim to continue showing together and extend their repertoire from their Rising Star classes to include Veteran and Riding Horse.
